God's Shaping Ministries International, Inc.
God’s Shaping Ministries International, Inc was founded in 2017 by our current CEO Dr. B. Adolphus Mollie, it was his vision to maintain and operate a religious corporation and to propagate and disseminate the Gospels of Jesus, specifically to those from disadvantaged backgrounds.
This Ministry started in Dacula, Georgia, USA and has since expanded to have an international office and ministries in Monrovia, Liberia. The Liberia office is located at Slakpawein town, Margibi county operated by Mr. Yanwulu Sarwon, Director of Operations. It is by God’s grace and humility that we, B. Adolphus and Choco Mollie, affirm our call and introduce our ministry GOD’S SHAPING MINISTRIES INTERNATIONAL INC., based in Georgia, USA and Monrovia, Liberia. We both are God’s chosen individuals who seek to promote the welfare of others through teaching the WORD of God in its wholistic way. By virtue of such dream, we have established a ministry considering changing lives.Help us bring much needed education materials and opportunities to children in need.
Help bring direct relief to families and children who need it the most in trying times.
In the heart of Liberia, a quiet storm rages as one in ten young souls grapple with the grip of substance abuse. Here, at God’s Shaping Ministries International, Inc, we stand witness to this silent crisis. According to the UNODC Liberia Country Profile (2023), drug use has become a pervasive challenge, with marijuana leading the ominous charge, closely trailed by cocaine and heroin. Tragically, substance abuse claims the lives of 36% of Liberian youth aged 15-24, marking it as the leading cause of fatalities (Liberian Ministry of Health Annual Report, 2022). A Multifaceted Crisis Demanding Action:
The repercussions extend beyond personal struggles, infiltrating the educational landscape. The UNESCO "Education and Drug Abuse in West Africa" Report (2021) reveals a 50% school dropout rate among Liberian youth caught in the throes of drug use. Shockingly, only 30% of drug-abusing youth manage to complete their secondary education (Liberian Ministry of Education, 2022 Statistics).
The health toll is equally severe, with HIV prevalence among drug users estimated to be ten times higher than the national average, as reported by the UNAIDS Country Report for Liberia (2022). Moreover, drug-related health complications annually cost the Liberian healthcare system over $10 million (World Bank Liberia Economic and Development Plan, 2023).
Communities bear the brunt of this crisis, with drug-related crimes constituting 70% of reported offenses (Liberia National Police Annual Crime Report, 2022). The economic fabric of communities is also torn, experiencing a 20% decrease in productivity due to high drug abuse rates (International Journal of Development Economics, 2019). Investing in Hope: A Roadmap to Recovery at God’s Shaping Ministries International, Inc:
To address this multifaceted challenge, our journey begins with preventive education. At God’s Shaping Ministries International, Inc, our commitment is to reach 5,000 youth annually through school-based prevention programs. We strive to train 200 community leaders as peer educators and launch a nationwide media campaign to raise awareness, hand in hand with our collaboration with Liberian media outlets.
For those already ensnared, rehabilitation and counseling services are paramount. Our commitment includes establishing two new rehabilitation centers, each with a capacity of 100 beds. We aim to provide counseling and therapy to 500 youth annually and offer vocational training and job placement services to support recovery, all in collaboration with NGOs and the private sector.
Empowering youth with marketable skills is our next step, aiming to empower 300 individuals in carpentry, tailoring, agriculture, and technology. Additionally, we aim to partner with businesses to create 150 job opportunities for rehabilitated youth, ensuring a holistic approach to their recovery (ongoing collaboration with local businesses is crucial). In this, we, at God’s Shaping Ministries International, Inc, seek to change the lives of our youth, sculpting futures anew.
